Chair - Jonathan Jefferies (email Jonathan)

Jonathan Jefferies is a member of East Bay Fencer’s Gym and assistant coach at UCB’s Fencing Club. He has been certified by the USFA Coaches college level II in epee and level I in foil. His preferred weapon is epee and he has twice made the US VET 60 men’s epee team to represent the US at the Veteran World Championships, Krems Austria, and Bath England. He recently took the gold at the US Senior Games held at Stanford in VET 60 men’s epee. His interests include motorcycling, sailing and armory work.

Vice Chair - Dylan Bethel (email Dylan)

Dylan Bethel is a member of the Golden Gate Fencing Center and has been fencing for over 15 years. During his years in fencing he has competed at    almost every level of the sport, from local to international. In his professional life he is a mechanical engineer and a graduate of UC Berkeley.

Treasurer - Chloe Soroquere (email Chloe)

Previously Vice chair then Secretary for five seasons and the mother of Stanford University Varsity fencer, Turner Caldwell, Chloe's goal is to work with the Executive Committee to help improve the frequency and quality of communications with the Northern California Division members.

Secretary - Nancy Philippine (email Nancy)

Nancy Philippine is the mother of EBFG Epee Cadet fencers Thibault and Matthias, and former EBFG/UCB Foil fencer, Johan. When she is not cheering for her kids on the strip, Nancy is leading a team of engineers in a startup dedicated to social discovery. As secretary of the Northern California Fencing Division, Nancy is inheriting a critical communication role, well handled by Chloe Soroquere for the past few years. Nancy is committed to continuing in Chloe’s footsteps to ensure the collaboration of all clubs in the division and a smooth communication with USA-Fencing.
